On Friday, federal court filed documents showing that Adrian Gilliam of La Vergne, Tenn., pleaded guilty to selling a loaded gun to a 19-year-old girl, who later used the gun to kill ex-NFL quarterback Steve McNair.
According Nashville police, the girl, whose name is Sahel Kazemi, met Gilliam while she was trying to sell her car and told him she was looking to buy a gun. Gilliam sold a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic pistol to her for $100 two days before the McNair’s mistress kill her boyfriend and herself on July 4.
Gilliam was arrested about two weeks after the murder-suicide and would face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. And prosecutors said he was also a convicted murderer in 1993 in Florida for murder and attempted armed robbery.
