Panthers DE Peppers could receiver offer from Patriots

I am back from a seven-day holiday, but the Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers is still waiting for the team’s decision on his future. Well, there is indeed something new: some reports said that the New England Patriots was pursuing the defensive end again.

The Patriots was among the teams who asked for Peppers last season when he said he wanted to leave Carolina. However, Peppers’ final decision was to sign a one-year contract with the Panthers and put on the Panthers jersey again as the team’s franchise player. As for this year, it seems that there will be bigger chance for Patriots to obtain Peppers as the Panthers have not shown any intension to keep Peppers.

Similar to what he did last year, Peppers claimed at times that he was ignored by the Panthers and he wanted hard to leave the team. And this time the Panthers did something totally different from what they did last year. Having said that they will not put the franchise tag on Peppers again, they have seemed to let Peppers become an unrestricted free agent next month. So the Patriots, along with the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants, could feel free to give their offers to Peppers.
