NFL players should not be considered as super men

When we are talking about NFL players, we always talk in precondition that they should be perfect people since they are paid so much to play in the league. But the fact is, they are after all common human beings who make mistakes and have limites on some aspects.

Ok, if you have to argue that they are at least not as common as us average people. That just means that they should pay more attention to what they do. But as no one can avoid mistake, the same to the players. They have the talents of playing and become professional players, but a lot of us common people also have talent and professinals in some field. Talent will not make anyone immune to being human, and we all will be subject to the same human temptations.

As long as you can find an excuse for any of your mistakes, it is not necessay to be too strict with those NFL players who appear in public a bit more often than others.

Veteran safety Roman found no better place than the 49ers

On Tuesday, veteran safety Mark Roman was seen back at practice with the 49ers. Before that he ahd been looking for a new team who wants to trade him.

He recently told reporters that he is happy both to be back and to be in other team. Roman had been out of town since shortly after last season, when the 49ers made it clear that they would promote third-year pro Dashon Goldson past him into the starting spot at free safety. He was permitted by the team to seek for a trade. But his attempts all failed. After a few weeks of seeking, he finally came back to the 49ers. Maybe the 49ers is still the best team he currently can find.

Saint fans bought out 70,000 tickets in time of national recession

Despite of the fact the it is time of national recession and a lot of people lost their jobs, Saints just sold out their season-tickets. This is the fourth year Saints sold out tickets since 2006.

The ticket prices are the same with the last season, but the fans will be able to attend 10 games this year, one game more than last season.

The Saints' vice president of ticket and suite sales, Mike Stanfield expressed publicly the gratitude to Saint fans. The selling out of all 70,000 seat ticket just showed fans strong support of the team again.

A moving news in such a difficult time. What a inspiring thing that shows people have not lost their passion for life.

Can Thomas Jones do as good job as he did last year?

First I would like to look back in what Thomas Jones did in 2008. 1,500 total yards of offense and 15 touchdowns, with a solid offense and good defense.

What happened after that?

Thomas was looking forward to a new contract. But it seemed not possible. A new rookie Shonn Greene was just joined the Jets, and was considered very qualified. But new deal or not, Thomas just participated in the Jets OTAs last Wednesday. I think he needs to do better job if he wants a new contract. Only good performance will add his value and make better contract more possible.

Vince Wilfork: Just hold out!

I always think that NFL players has already been paid enough, at least more than most of us common people. But I still support Vince Wilfork to hold out with his demands of new contract. He just worths it.

Just think about how many defensive tackles are better than Vince Wilfork? Albert Haynesworth, Kevin Williams and Haloti Ngata cover all the name on the list. And anyway these three are unlikely to join the Patriots, at least recently. So how can the Patriots go on without Vince Wilfork? The defense will be messed up. They should consider Wilfork's demand seriously and make a decision soon. Otherwise, no one can guarantee that Vince Wilfork will not leave the Pats and join other teams. That would be a big loss.

Eagles is worrying about Jim Johnson's recovery

The sign of worrying is the bringing in of former Cowboys' defensive coordinator Brian Stewart, although the Eagles did not give Stewart any definite role.

Jim Johnson has been fighting over his cancer for several months. He tried best to be acting as normal, but his indefinite leave of absense did make the Eagles worry about the team's performance without him. Perhaps, without Jim Johnson being present, the team's defense will become a big problem. Thus bringing in Brian Stewart is reasonable. Just in case.

Hope that Jim Johnson will recover soon.

Plaxico Burress should be careful in choosing his team

The Tampa Buccaneers is expecting a great player. Even they did not mention the mystery great player's name, it is certain that Plaxico Buress should be the very person. However, Burress has more than one choices, and the Buccaneers should be the last one.

There are Oakland Raiders, the Cowboys and the Eagles. Taking that the Raiders will go with Jeff Garcia at the QB and a healthy Darren Mcfadden running back, it should be the best choice for Burress; If without Terrell Owens, Adam Jones, etc., the Cowboys is also a good choice; The Eagles is as compelling as the Raiders, with Donovan McNabb being an elite QB and rising young receivers DeSean Jackson and rookie Jeremy Maclin.

Anyway, the Buccaneers is not the best choice, without any elite QB. Burress needs to be careful in choosing.

Brady's unpeaceful new life

On Thursday, the Patriots QB Tom Brady came back to the practice field, with about 80 media members waiting in the drizzle for asking questions about his new life.

The drizzle made the grass somewhat wet and slippery, several players falling over, but Brady just made it through without troubles, despite that he just recovered from his knee injury. In this practice activity, Brady had to practice to work with his new teammates-- RB Fred Taylor, WRS Joey Galloway and Greg Lewis. While being asked by reporters, the most asked qestions were about his new wife, a supermodel, Gisele Bundchen. He tried to deny the rumors that Gisele is pregnant, but he did use the plural noun "children" when mentioned his family.

Maybe he just wanted to bring a peaceful life to his family, however, as a famous football player, he will have to make more efforts.

Retired coaches will be consultant

Here the retired coaches refers to Tom Moore and Howard Mudd, who was Indianapolis Colts coaches. They started working for the Colts in 1998 and decided to retire about 2 weeks ago.

The Colts owner Jim Irsay told reporters that he wanted the two retired coaches back working as the team's consultant. He believed that their experience could help the team move forward and teach other coaches. However, except Tom Moore and Howard Mudd would like to work for free for several months, Jim has to wait until mid-November when he can signed any agreements with them.

It is said that retired coaches must wait for 6 months ater they filed retirement documents before they can accept another paid job in football teams.

Bly contracted with 49ers

In order to get one guy to replace the injured Walt Harris quickly, the 49ers signed Bly to a one-year contract on Thursday. Bly was among the mystery cornerbacks who visited the San Francisco 49ers earlier.

The 49ers' GM Scot McCloughan told that Bly, a Pro Bowler is the best one to fill the void left by Pro Bowl caliber player Walt Harris after he got hurt this week. He said that tremendous productivity and proven durability are the two quality they saw on the two Pro Bowler, which are needed to compete at a high level in the NFL. Bly will have to started his playing in the 49ers soon so that he can get acquainted quickly with new system, new coaches and new teammates.

Tarell Brown and Shawntae Spencer will also be competitors for the starting spot opposite Nate Clements.
