Cowboys GM Jones said there will be not Ring of Honor ceremony this year

The Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said at a ceremony that there will be no Ring of Honor ceremony this year.

"But it will be every bit as emphasized in the new stadium as it was at Texas Stadium," Jones said.

The Cowboys have not inducted any players into the Ring of Honor since the Triplets - Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith - were added on Sept. 19, 2005. And they have not found a place for the Tom Landry statue at the new Cowboys Stadium. But they have already transplanted the 12 oak trees from Texas Stadium in Irving to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, costing about $200,000 and one month. The trees were transplanted to the the West plaza at the new stadium, an area which will be known as the Texas Stadium grove.
