When we are talking about NFL players, we always talk in precondition that they should be perfect people since they are paid so much to play in the league. But the fact is, they are after all common human beings who make mistakes and have limites on some aspects.
Ok, if you have to argue that they are at least not as common as us average people. That just means that they should pay more attention to what they do. But as no one can avoid mistake, the same to the players. They have the talents of playing and become professional players, but a lot of us common people also have talent and professinals in some field. Talent will not make anyone immune to being human, and we all will be subject to the same human temptations.
As long as you can find an excuse for any of your mistakes, it is not necessay to be too strict with those NFL players who appear in public a bit more often than others.
